Sahishnu Majumdar Strong Certification

The Strong Interest Inventory assessment provides a powerful method for matching the interests of an individual with opportunities for jobs, education and leisure activities. The instrument is extremely flexible and can be used as an aid in making educational and occupational choices

Originally developed in 1927 by E K Strong Jr. it has been revised and updated several times notably with the addition of Holland's theory of vocational choices. The Strong has been carefully constructed to compare a person's responses to a broad range of familiar occupational titles, and day - to - day activities with the responses of people working in various occupations.

The Strong Assessment is especially recommended for young adults and senior students who are keen to make wise choices. The jump from campus to career must be well aligned to the natural strengths and interests of the individual. In my professional practice I have observed that young people often struggle with their professional choices, because the choices they make about their careers are not aligned to their natural strengths and potential. The key to work life balance is also found in the right alignment between natural strengths we have, career choices we make and continuous learning that we seek.
