The golden rule that, "Do as you would be done by", has been replaced by the new platinum rule. "Do as THEY would be done by". Thomas believes that if we are to give the best of your performance, then we must understand how we behave and adapt to others. Only in this way can we hope to optimize our own performance and at the same time motivate others while at the same time avoid triggering each others basic fears as well.
This tool also helps us in understanding how we cope with our environment and in turn gives us insights into our present attitudes and possible performance.
